Iguanas do not always lay all at once. But there should be some regularity. Hatfields book documents laying over as long as 10 days I believe, but again, there was a constant daily amount. My female last year laid 41 in one sitting, and this year took 7 days for 39. During the 7 days though, during the day you could pretty much set your watch to her next egg.

However, one and then nothing for three days does sound like a problem. Definetely urge your friend to take her to a vet.
