In Reply to: Female Iguana Gravid and May be EGG BOUND!!!!!!!!! posted by Eric on March 27, 2001 at 01:26:40:
I too lost my first female to being egg bound and pertonitis. She did go thru the spaying, but the infection was far to bad to save her.She passed away the nite of after the surgery.
So I'd get her to the vets and have a blood panel done on her also.
To this day I feel like if I'd had the blood panel done on Gwar,we'd have seen she had an infection and could have gotten her on antibiotics sooner and saved her life.
