Iguanas in hotels

Do any of you have any experience with iguanas in hotels? Do hotels that say "pets allowed" usually have problems with reptiles? We are going to have to stay in a hotel for a week when we get to Portland before our apartment is ready... Should I just try to sneak Iggy (and my turtle) in or what?
