I agree with everthing in the other posts but have another idea as to getting his mouth open. My vet uses this technique and I've had much success with it. My vet uses a pencil held horizontally applying gentle pressure to my ig's mouth right a his lips. I'm holding him steady while he's doing this. My vet said it was a 2 person job but, if I use the medecine dropper the same way as the pencil (horizontally) while holding the back of his head steady so he can't move it backwards, he has no choice but to open up. I then squirt it the meds and start again. This works great for me but they're all different. Good luck. Hope this helps.
