You need a Reptisun 5.0 UVB fluroescent or equivalent, these at the most are 40 watt(4ft ones), they put off only a little heat, so you need a heat light also(incadescent screw in type)
UVB is only in the long tube-like fluorescent bulbs(reptisun, ESU, vitalite) or ACTIVEUV screw in bulbs, the lowest wattage of these is 100.
If he has MBD, then you are not providing an UVB bulb for proper absorbtion of vitamin D3, this is why he is not growing.
The UVB needs to be 12 inches or less away. Let us know the exact type of bulb, this might be your problem and your iguana will surely die without it!!!!!
See the long light at the top of my cage......
: i have a 60 watt uvb bulb that is about 1/2 ft away from the cage the temp. 90-95 in the basking area and 80-85 on the cool. there is no hot rock in my cage.
: I think im going to drop off a fecal sample to my vet like some people suggested (thanks) to find out if worms are causing my igs slow growth. I'll keep you guys posted!
