Do NOT allow your iguana to free roam at all with an infant around. Free roaming an iguana is adding a risk factor to catching Salmonella since infants tend to crawl on the floors.
As far as this other question you had, I looked in our reptile medical book and couldn't find anything related to this. If it's a warm blooded disease then most likely it can not be carried in a cold blooded animal,there are a few diseases that don't follow this rule, salmonella is one of these.
