Can you put fake plants inside an enclosure...

safely??? I want to decorate the inside with some fake greenerey, but will Ssquiggs eat it?? I have some fake stuff on the outside of the cage but not inside...I don't want to have to bother with real greenery becasue it gets knocked over and lets just say I do not have a greeen thumb..
