I'm concerned that your current vet feels there is nothing that can be done about a possible bbroken egg. I'm surprised that the vet didn't take any xrays to try to see if indeed there are any eggs in there.

My suggestion is to go to the ARAV link I have posted and see if there is another vet in your area who maybe has a little more experience with iguanas. If there is no vet in your immediate area, maybe your vet would be willing to contact someone from the ARAV list and consult with them as to what may possibly be done.
