Alex,

I hate to say this but....your mite problems are most likely NOT over. Mite eggs can hatch up to 2 weeks later, since killing the eggs which are on your iguana would most likely make your iguana very ill, you are just killing the adult mites. You have to keep treating for mites for at least 2 weeks, 3 to be safe, until all the eggs have hatched. If you don't do that,they will soon have the run of your iguana,cage and your house.
Here's what you can do yourself: Give your iguana a bath and hold her/him under the water for 5 minutes.....don't worry, they can stay under the water on their own for over 20 minutes.
I would recommend doing these baths twice a day for the next 2 weeks. If you can keep your iguana is a glass enclosure for a few weeks, while you treat the regular cage.
I would recommend that if you can and do use a glass enclosure, that you cover all the sides in an attempt to keep your iguana calm.
