a mite is a mite is a mite. Be is a snake, monitor, gecko or iguana, etc. the mites are all basicly the same. So, if reptiles can pass along mites to other reptiles and !!gulp!! even humans, my guess is that they can pass them along to birds.

My suggestion is to treat the igs and the enclosures and do not allow the treated igs and disinfected enclosures near the ones that have not been treated yet. I don't envy the task you have in front of you.
