can my birds get them?....I went to a petshop(and brought home a lovely free gift-MITES)) who had an iguana that he said was infested with spider mites(plant eaters)....but there not on my plants just my igs....it doesnt even look like my monitors have anything...but the guy insists that there spider mites....if I know my mites, I thought they werre terribly specific little creatures...Im attempting to erradicate them...no easy task with 6 igs.....The man told me there are only 2 kinds of mites that they could be..spider mites or small animal mites that infest everything.....I thought snake mites were different from lizard mites as bird mites are from other....sheesh..but are my birds + hamsters in danger????they look clean and so do my other reptiles...monitors,american alligator, dabb lizard and snakes...
help!!! thanx in advance......
