Blood in poop

Hi I have a 9 year old iguana who for the past 5 days has had blood in his poop. It also looks like he is having a hard time pooping too. I have been searching for an answer for this but I have found nothing. He has an appointment with the vet next week but any help before that would be appriciated. Thanks
