We have a "PJ Pets" here where I live....what is weird about that is that at the "PJs" here the iguanas have a large cage, waterfall, branches everywhere, proper lighting and from what I noticed were being fed a decent diet..although the staff was not to knowledgable about reptiles they had, someone must be there. Because the other reptiles are taken care of well too. But the situation you described is horrible. I feel bad for that iguana.
