I know you said to take the animal to the vet, I did read your post before I posted a reply of my own. Knowing that you and a few others stressed taking it to a vet, I don't think that it can ever be stressed enough that while we can all guess at what may or may not be wrong, the only person who can really help is a vet who can acutally look at the animal and perform a physical exam.
