Ditch the hidebox? I don't recommend using hideboxes anymore igs are gonna stress anyway (new enviroment, diet, routine, owner blah blah blah..) and a hidebox seems to make them that more shy, unable to cope or delays coping with the REAL world of their new enviroment. My cyclura babies have quite a barren-looking tank. Heatpad, overhead basking lights, good ambient warmth throughout (indoors 70-75 F), and a food/water dish. Simplify. If your baby is getting cold...I'd suggest making sure the ambient temps are no lower than 70 F, and add some probiotics to its diet 1-2 caps for 5 days (pick some up at health food store refrigerated section)Open up the caps, sprinkle on its food. Will give its beneficial microflora a boost (diminish due to stress, temp changes, lower ph... blah blah blah)
