Sorry to hear about your iguana. The only good thing about MBD is that it is reversible with good care. A vet told me once that Pedialyte is very good for the iguana if they aren't eating well due to the MBD and possibly dehydrated. A possible reason that the front leg is paralyzed is that the nerves operate physiologically by elements such as Calcium. Since there is a deficiecny of Calcium, the first to sign of deficiency is motor function. You are doing the best thing short of a Calcium injection for the little guy. Another thought is that he possible may not be eating as much as usual or even at all because he may be stressed out from you force feeding him. Have you checked his lower jaw bone? If you gently push on each side of it as the same time, is it rigid or flexible? I have been told that that is a good sign. Does your vet have a Vet Technician who can admisnister injections? Lots of luck.........
