All I can go on is my own personal experiences, have had igs for the past 6 years, and I put a rubbermaid (covered) with a hole cut, and instant potty training. Maybe I just have really smart iggies...LOL

Seriously though, there has to be more of an environmental cue than we know about, the nuances of thought displayed in various captive environments is far to diverse to suggest otherwise. (Goes WAY beyond potty training)

Personally I cannot begin to explain the behaviour and thought processes displayed by iguanas in the large majority of instances, nor can anyone. The best that we all can do is listen to what our individual igs tell us by there actions and do what we can to adjust accordingly.
