Will sunlight benefit this time of the year?

If I wheel Lucy to the south side of the house so that the sun shines through the window on her cage, will this benefit her at all? She spent a couple of hours yesterday on the couch that is on the sunporch on the south side just basking in the warmth (the sun was shining on the couch). Is this beneficial?
