To give Lucy three more injections of antibiotic between now and then because they don't want to perform the procedure until she's been on antibiotics for a while. To watch her closely and call her if the tail gets any worse (which it hasn't besides me cutting the end off). Something I didn't mention before that surprised me is that they won't sucure it up afterward. She said that they have had the best results with regrowth when they leave the tendons hanging. Is this process familiar to you? P.S. I promise I won't cut anything else off.
