Hi all, I'm new to the iguana forum, but not the species:) Me and my buddy have been trying to run sort of a lizard rescue, and just recieved a VERY sick iggy. This poor thing was around 5yrs old, and was closer in size to a juvenile basalisk. Here is a list of its problems: EXTREMELY underweight, Severely dehydrated, one healed burn, snout looks like its been through a cheese grater, and it barely will eat. The only way he would eat was by us putting food in his mouth when he opened it to bite our hands. We did this with Soaked iguana pellets, and a couple of crickets(I know you're not supposed to feed protein, we were glad he would eat anything) We are misting, and have water pan in there and some more pellets. Will try veggies on monday. Do you guys have any other suggestions? Thanks for reading this very long post.
