Once you get to the baby food aisle you'll see enough brands and types to make your head spin. I agree with all that iZ's mom has told you. I am only here to make the suggestion that you use the baby food called "First Foods" which I believe Gerber makes. It has nothing added to it except perhaps water. You might need to dilute it a little more to get it to go thru a syringe. For diluting purposes I would recommend that instead of using plain water that you use the Pedialyte. This will get even more electrolytes flowing into him. This is what I've done in the past when I've had to "spoonfeed" a reptile with good results. I'll leave a post for others to verify that it is an accepted thing to do that is not harmful.

Good luck with this iguana and bless you both for trying to give him the life he deserves.
