is ask a "reputable" petstore if they can get one for you.
Here in NJ theres "NJ Pet". Its no 5-Stars petstore, but better than th norm. They order lizards for you.
at the chuckawalla forum, u may find people who have them and/or breed them. I think they sell for about $60-$70.
There was an excellent caresheet on coldblooded.net, but the site shut down.
They are wary lil things, but can be quiet tame.
incredibly fast, need very high temps on the basking area.
*NOTE* these are desert duellers. they need SPACIOUS cages. even if they only get 16" long or so, they need at least 6 feet L and 4-5 feet wide cage to behave well and feel at home. They dont climb much, but always offer a little something to get on. Tall secured rocks are excellent.
they also love burrows and shelters (from the heat and to hide).
try also the ctenosaura forum below, and the collared lizards'. People with interest in desert lizards often own different kinds, and may know a lot.
Use search engines to find breeders also.
I hope someone can give u a better answer.
good luck!
