After doing some comparison shopping on commercial iguana food, reading lables and comparing ingredients, I came to the conclusion that I could make a much better substitute at home using a blender.

The MAJOR factor in deciding not to use the canned food is that there are, to my knowledge, no laws that regulate the labeling of commercial iguana food. That means that there could be any number of non-listed ingredients. Knowing that a similar product can be made in my kitchen, I decided it was better to be safe than sorry and skip the canned stuff.

Being that when an ig is gravid it depeletes calcium I'd make a collard shake (collards and fruit blended) to see if she will atleast lick at it because it's sweet.
