My iguana hates Alfalfa and turnip greens. I use the dried kind and pick out the sticks but he still won't eat it or anything put in with it. So I am feeding him a mix of collards + blueberries, various squashes and green beans, sometimes japanese eggplant. I also use reptivite supplement. He hates collards too but will eat them if they are mixed with other things.
What concerns me is a few of his spikes are a broken at the top (not more than three) He is about a foot long (guesstimate) from snout to vent, and is two years old. I had a vet check him out just last month and he said he is very healthy, but you know how vets are you know, there are no reptile vets in the area. Columbus Georgia.
Also his eyes arn't as bright as usual, and his jaw has gotten a little bigger lookingin the past month and I was concerned as to whether this was Mbd or something terrible, because it's soft, or if he is just growing. It is not uneven though.
I have a UV heat lamp on him and a UV flourescent during the day.
At two years old and 1 foot long, how much food should he be getting per day? And what amounts?
