My Ig is named miya too ( just spelled diffrent)....

and everyone I tell her name to thinks it is a weird name for a lizzard. But about the cat thing I let Myyaa free roam the house with the cats (she is four feet long and normally about 10 pounds). She gets along grreat with my cats and dogs. She will wait until the cats are asleep and then pounce on them! They are terrified of her. And as for the dogs, the basset could care less and she is much bigger than the chuhuahua. She rules the house, but it has taken 2 years for me to trust them together.
