you may be in for a rude awakening if you think iguanas are *little* trouble .... they are a very HIGH maintenance pet .... they need to be handled every day in order to stay accepting of you ... (i wouldn't say iguanas ever get really "tame").... do ALOT of reading/research FIRST! (i did NOT and it was hell for me AND iZ ....)
i'd also suggest NOT letting your ig free-roam right away .... keep it in an enclosure until the two of you get to know each other and let it roam a bit when you're there to supervise .... you'd be amazed at the places and TROUBLE they can and WILL get in to!!!!!! *grin*
both Melissa's site and the Iguana Den have ig-diets that are widely used .... as well as suggestions and info on housing needs ....
