you are NOT a terrible owner and i am NOT yelling at you!!!! i DO know how hard it is to find a good vet and i DO know how hard it is to get there!!! but you HAVE to figure out how to do it ...

one thing that i have been able to do is: my iZ has *2* vets ~ one is a short 15 min. drive away and while he is a great doc, he's not an ig-vet ~ but he works + consults with iZ's "real" vet/surgeon who is a 2 hour drive away ... routine tests can be done close to home ... so MAYBE it would be possible for you to find a vet that's in your town, easy to get to, who would be willing to phone/consult with a reptile vet, who would be willing to consult with the local vet ... (*whew*) ...

yes, it's alot of work!

the thing with infections is: you can *think* they are gone/healed and in reality, they have only sort of cleared up and are actually spreading throughout the ig's body ...

ANY infection can KILL an ig!
the ONLY thing that is gonna heal/fight an infection is antibiotics

and for that, you NEED a vet ~ there's no magic cure that any of us can give you to eliminate the need for expert medical care ... ESPECIALLY not over the 'net, sight unseen ~ whether any of us were vets or not ... your ig NEEDS to see a DOCTOR NOW ...

seriously ~ Very Best Wishes and please let us know how it goes ok??
Bon.
