There are in fact such things as green iguanas who display a lot of blue colouration. (genetically this is a double recessive gene as it is a recessive of amelanistic), BUT.....the ones sold in pet stores are "blue diamonds" are a marketing gimmick, that as they mature, look identical to your standard "green" green iguana. I have seen a lot of these, and always ends up being the case (in my experience)
NOTE: Just because a reptile (ig in this case) does have a lot of blue in it as an adult does not mean that it will produce amelanistic igs (or even hypo's) it just carries a gene.
