Hi, I am new to this forum, as I just adopted a four year old female iguana named Roxy. We live in Ontario and went through Reptile Rescue (www.reptilerescue.on.ca) to adopt her. They are great. We anyways, this is our first iguana ever, but to make sure we got it down right I wanted to post and see if I am doing things correctly, as I love her dearly already!
We feed her squash and green beans in the morning hours (late morning) cut into tiny pieces, and then alfalfa and collard greens in the early afternoon.
She has all the proper lighting, and is extremely friendly towards everyone including strangers. My one and only concern is after letting her out for a romp around my room Roxy gets very restless, often scratching her cage for up to an hour trying to get back out (?) Thats normal right? I mean no one wants to live in a cage! :O)
