Ok sorry for the Mk thing I went off to the side on that one . As far as your animal protein thoughts I agree as I belive I stated . I watched wild iguanas eat all kinds of bug's I have no idea of most of there names I saw one baby bird go the way of an iguana meal fresh from the nest . But I must also say that in the four times I have been there the biggest wild iguana I ever saw was around 5 foot While ones in the zoo and that a few people have as pets where much bigger The biggest was owned by a guy that said he was 120 years old ( 80 maybe but I ain't buying 120 ) his iguana was 6'8" and weighed 21 pounds ( the guy says that the iguana was 30 I don't belive that either ) but he said he has had him from birth and has only feed him leaves and things from his garden . The local zoo had about 20 iguanas in a very nice " Cage " it was more like a screened in backyard with big trees a pond and everything Most of us wish we had the space to build . At the zoo they feed a big salad every day ( the iguanas in the cage are all over 4 foot the biggest was around 6 )once a week the put a huge bowl of mice in for them ( they look like overgrown pinkies ) When I asked why they did this I was told that they do better with it and it calms them down ( I don't get the Calm thing the only thing I could make of it was I was told it curbed a hunting need ? ) I just said ok and kept looking . I can also tell you that I did not see one case of MBD and I asked about it and very few people even know what it was . So like I said I agree on the diet not containing animal protein .However they do partake of it in the wild but like you say in a cage they will eat what you give them wether it is good for them or not . I do however belive there is a percentage of animal protein that is good for them I do not know what this is and there for choose not to make it a staple of my guys diets . That would explain why Speedy chases the dogs Not sure if he is trying to eat them though .. Well that any better ??
