They do sneeze and rid themselves of excess salts from their bodies (since they cannot sweat). Some poeople on the forum refer to this as a SNALT ;-)
You will notice that it becomes crusty when left to dry. Mine have done it from time to time without a real diet change, but it can be an indication that they have too much sodium in their diet. You may want to consider any new foods you've introduced recently. If you feed them any canned veggies, you will notice a significant increase in the salt sneeze as these are too high in sodium.
Sometimes it almost seems like they save it up so they can sneeze in your face too! LOL
