Much has changed in the last 8-10 years. How old was your iguana? Worms kills many iguanas. The lack of UVB (not the round dome light) is a major problem. His diet was great. Could he have gotten a blockage due to substrate or something he ate on the floor?
I also have a problem with those 10 gallon iguanas. One with its owner knocked on my door. The poor thing was so scared and all it could do was shake. It was a year old and fit in my hand.
I'll never forget it.
