Sunny,

First of all, you'll need a much larger cage or enclosure for your iguana. Your iguana is already extremely stressed, and being confined in a small cage with little or no room to roam, not being able to thermoregulate (find the area in the enclosure that has the temperature it desires), and not being able to hide if needed, will increase the amount of stress. Secondly, it takes a long time to tame an iguana, and it will take a lot of patience and work on your part.

Basically, there are two widely used approaches to taming an iguana. The first is somewhat of a "handle as much as possible" approach. The theory behind this is that if you handle it enough and show it who's boss, eventually the iguana will get accustomed to being handled.

The second approach (the one that I personally recommend) is a hands off approach with a very slow and very gradual build up to having a tame and acclimated iguana.

If you're interested, you can read how to slowly tame an iguana at http://www.greenigsociety.org/taming.htm on the Green Iguana Society website.

Take your time, learn as much as possible, and don't give up. With a lot of work and a lot of patience, your iguana should eventually tame up.
