I just got my ig a month or so ago, I'm guessing she is about 10-12 months and nearly 2f long. She was shipped to the store that size, and I have no idea how she was treated before. She is very mean. When I first got her home I tried he old set-up I had for my first ig, but it was one that she could climb out of and go around my room. She was too wild and didn't know to go back for water and heat, so I put her in a bigger ( 2x3x3 )cage. All she would do is sit at the top of the cage on a hamock and wouldn't eat or go to her heat lamp. Plus, when I went to take her out, she would go crazy, running around and bashing herself into walls, bloodying her nose and tearing out her last remaining claws. She also lost part of her tail by whipping me. Finally, even though it is way too small, I tried putting her into a 20g long aq. Its a foot longer than her and a foot wide, but at least shes not tearing out her nails. I find it is easier to catch her, meaning she doesn't have enough time to hurt herself.
Is keeping her in this cage a good idea until she calms down? Will she get madder being in a small cage?
She is out most of the time because I'm trying to tame her, so she isn't cooped up all the time.
