Your iguana probably came out of *her* dazed mode and is showing her true colors. When they enter a new environment the first few days is sometimes refered to as the "honeymoon" period. Then your ig can take a total turn and become more active or aggressive. Like everyone else said, don't give up. How big is she? If she's only 8-9 months she probably isn't big enough to give a bad bite. When mine was that age, his bites were only like a paper cut and I've only been bitten twice. You must continue to approach and hold your iguana, even if it acts like it will bite. If you show your fear they will act upon it. Sometimes I'd put on a pair of lightweight cloth or rubber gloves if I was worried when reaching in to pick mine up, then once he was calmed, I'd take them off and spend a good 20 minutes two or three times a day cuddling and talking to him. I even put a bandaid on once and let him bite away, which he quickly got bored of. It's a tough job, but well worth it. I hope everything works out in your favor. Remember, it will take a while to earn her trust. Just don't give up and you should be alright in the long run. Good luck! J
