Hello everybody! Question?

Sorry I haven't been around in a while been very busy! Ziggi is doing well, but I have a few questions.
I think Ziggi is a HE, but....I've noticed lately his food intake has dropped, not sure if this is because of winter or not?
Temps in the room are maybe a few degrees cooler, but not much. It stays 80-84 during the day, but the humidity has dropped as heating causes things to be a little drier.
At night it stays around 78, but heat rises so the ground area is probably a couple degrees cooler, but my Ziggi only goes down there to use the bathroom.
He was eating about 1-2 bowls a day, but now, only one bowl and sometimes does not finish that? Seems like he always wants to come out of his cage, usually when I walk in the room and start doing whatever, after about 5 minutes he comes strolling down to the door
and wants me to let him out, when I do he roams around the room? After I leave I hear him climbing on the sides jumping around, finally he goes back to his shelf after he figures I'm not gonna let him out. It might just be curiousity, but I guess HE could be a SHE?
The reason I think its a he, is the pores are pretty big(but this is my only iguana, never seen pores on another(except in pics).
Also, the base of the tail right behind the vent is very bulgy and thick! Under the bottom its very spongy on either side, like theres jello in there?
I don't see him digging around anywhere? I increased one of his 3 bulbs, to make his basking site go from 94 to 100 in one area, the other ones are 95 and 97! He lays in all of them. I spray him many more times a day to keep the humidity up more.
I keep a water bowl up beside his food plate and I haven't noticed any increase in the water missing. Here's the best pic I got of the pores, any ideas?
