Although I now agree with Harry's Dad on this issue, I cannot fault you for your purchase. There are plenty of iguanas out there to adopt-- if you stick around here you will see that. However (I am like you in that I bought my current ig) My last ig was adopted and in horrible condition-- I loved him so much and it caused such great pain when he died years later, that I decided I wanted to start with a fresh one that had no damage as well (thinking that I could do a better job with one who wasn't messed up yet) Well, Sleestack is way more of a pain in the @ss than my rescue ever was!!!

Just don't get offended at HD's opinion because he makes a good point (though it comes across as a bit gruff). Just keep it in mind for next time.

I wish you the best of luck with your current ig/s!

: ...but, I did not once state in the post that I bought an iguana from a petstore. In any event, where do you think people get iguanas...the iguana fairy. I do not want to adopt a large iguana. I raised my previous iguana from a hatchling, she died several years ago, and now I want the joy and hard work of raising another happy, healthy hatchling. So excuse me for not adopting.
