Since I've never had your type of iguana, I can only speak for GGIs, but they avoid (to the best of their ability) stepping in their fecal matter.

What you can do is put several layers of the newspaper in the spot where she usually does her thing and remove it when soiled (as soon as you see that it is). Or, you can also layer papertowels in "her spot".

Seeing how your ig is a desert lizard, I'm not sure if you could train her to use a litter pan with water, but it might be worth a try. Good luck.
