: I have a 2 1/2 year old iguana. She's about 2' long, including the tail. We adopted her about 2 months ago. All she does is sit in her cage. Everytime we let her out she freaks. We have a leash for her but every time we put her in it and let her walk around she flips out and gets tangled up in it. Any advise on how I can train her into using the leash. Also, is she ok just being in her cage and never being let out. She seems to like it better in her cage but I feel sorry for here not getting out.
I wanted to thank you guys for all of your advise. We've been letting Murray out of her cage everyday for the last three days. All it took was opening her cage for about 10 minutes and she was out and about. The only thing I'm questioning now is if any of your Ig's have been hurt while roaming. She climbs on our couch and she's pretty clumsy. We have an aquarium with our babies in it on top of a 2 foot high dresser and she climbed it and fell off. Any danger involved in letter her climb the furniture? Is there anyway to stop her if it is dangerous?
