Some igs adjust better than others. I've found that older igs seem to do better. I've only had two that ever went on hunger strikes after coming here. One lasted a week, the other 3 weeks. I would suggest that for the first couple weeks you keep her confined to a room where she can feel secure, get used to finding a basking spot and feeding spot, and generally get used to you being her new human keeper. If she seems to adjust well, then you can let her acclimate to the entire house or whatever territory you are going to allow her. Just remember in those first couple of weeks to keep her plenty warm enough, offer her good fresh foods, entice her with moisture rich foods if she is not eating well, and be gentle and calm with her. I wish you the best with your new family member and feel free to ask questions here anytime. This is a great group of folks here, best on the net!!
