It's not your fault, Kimberley, really. A lot of igs have broken or missing toes, nails, etc. Happens in the wild, too. Just make sure the habitat setup minimizes the dangers of pinching or trapping, and make sure he gets enough calcium; that's about all you can do. Bella has two broken toes, one missing nail, one deformed nail, and broken spikes, poor thing -- not enough calcium from the pet store -- but she climbs like a champ and is just fine now. I'll bet an amputated toe won't slow down your ig at all as he grows! (Though you may wish it did, eventually!
