after you've checked + rechecked everything that you could have missed or done differently to prevent the accident ~ STOP kicking yourself! i know that's hard to do ... believe me ... i KNOW ... but blaming yourself + beating yourself up over it serves absolutely nooooo useful purpose at all ... sh*t happens no matter HOW careful an ig-parent you are ...

when iZ was small, he broke a 'finger' by leaping from one side of his enclosure to the other ... when he was bigger + had his own room, he somehow broke a bone in his tail, about 12" from the tip ... i have NO clue HOW he did it ... i noticed when i was carrying him downstairs for his bath + supper that he was holding his tail really funny ... (it actually healed quite nicely tho ... )

THEN there's all the crap we've been thru with his kidneys last year and that huge bladder stone this year ...

my point is, don't waste energy beating yourself up when you should be using the energy to figure out IF there's anything you should do differently (and there might not be!) AND helping Stone heal ... {{{{hugs}}}}

Bon.
