Mouth Question. . .

Today while climbing up from taking a drionk in his water dish he stopped midway up his ramp and it lookes as if he was trying to fix his jaw ( ya know, kinda like what snakes do after eating) and then just kept on going back up to his basking shelf. Then he did it again, about 5 minutes later, I wasn't anywhere near his cage either of the times. What could htis mean?
