Hi everyone. I was on my way back to my office from lunch this afternoon, and saw a large iguana in the middle of a very busy intersection! I stopped, grabbed him (her?) and stuck him in my car, which is where he is right now.
He did not try to bite me, but did "tailwhip" me. He is about 3.5 to 4 feet long, and actually seems quite tame. (I have lots of childhood experience with various reptiles, parrots, etc., but don't know much about iguana).
He seems very healthy, not too skinny. He must be a recent escapee.
There's no way I can keep the beast (unless he can live in an outdoor enclosure, which it sounds like he can't in So. Cal.), so I need someone to adopt him ASAP! I may be able to keep him for a day or so, but really need some help!!
I am in Southern California (Irvine/Costa Mesa area). Please e-mail me TODAY, or call me tonight, if you are interested. Thank you!!
