In the evening retreat (hide box), I put a pig blanket hooked up to a thermostat. This ensures that at night the iguana will nave get too cold, also in the winter, I cover the top of my cage with a large clear sheet of corigated roofing, its a plastic material and only cost about 13 bucks a sheet. I just screw a sheet of it on top of the cage allowing for a 2' overlap on each side. when you dril use rubber washers to ensure water doesn't leak in through the holes. and when it gets cold during the day, you can suspend a spot light from the ceiling of the cage for a basking spot. Note: Be absolutely sure the iguana cannot access the spot light or it will get burned! Hope that helps.
