questioning weightloss

When i first got Mo 6 months ago, he was a biggins. He had the largest stomach i had ever seen on an iguana his size, he is 18inches. I kept him in a 2foot glass tank. i was even worried about him being fat. Well, i just got a new cage for him a week ago, its a 6x6x5 cage. Since i he has been in there he has lost a jurrassic amount of weight, iwouldnt say he is skinny for an iguana but he looks skinny compared to how he used to look. My question.....Do you all think he just has room to climb aroud now and that is why he losing weight?, he seems to be eating ok.i mean he went from havign to walk 6 inches to his food bowl to having to climb down 5 feet, would this make sense?
