I would suggest possibly getting some astroturf to put down. I used to use bed-a-beast and mine is young also and he/she would always make a mess of everything!! The reason for digging could be a lot of things! Usually the reason for excessive digging is the enclosure is too small, but this doesnt seem to be the case with a 90 gallon tank. Only thing I can guess is either he sees his reflection and thinks it's another iquana or he thinks he will find a way out! It's hard to say! Little ones are weird like that!!! :)
: I'm curious. I have a young iguana (sex unknown), maybe about 6 months. I have him/her in a 90 gal tank with plenty of branches to climb, fake leaves for a forest look a waterfall in the corner to help with humidity, an arboral labol for his food & a large lagoon on the floor to soak in. I't looks great but he/she keeps destroying it. He/she keeps digging and trowing the substrate everywhere (especially in the lagoon) I had reptibark previously & now we have lizard litter. Is it the substrate? I never see him/her on the floor. He/she's always in the trees. This is done while I'm at work. Is this normal? Ir's driving me nuts.
