Why does he/she keep digging?

I'm curious. I have a young iguana (sex unknown), maybe about 6 months. I have him/her in a 90 gal tank with plenty of branches to climb, fake leaves for a forest look a waterfall in the corner to help with humidity, an arboral labol for his food & a large lagoon on the floor to soak in. I't looks great but he/she keeps destroying it. He/she keeps digging and trowing the substrate everywhere (especially in the lagoon) I had reptibark previously & now we have lizard litter. Is it the substrate? I never see him/her on the floor. He/she's always in the trees. This is done while I'm at work. Is this normal? Ir's driving me nuts.
