In the meantime until he posts, I can say he is definitely trying to mate with the cloth/ your arm etc. Let him mate with the material because that is far better than your arm-- and he needs to get this out of his system. Our last ig got a little aggressive like that and mated with shirts and towels (in general just wasn't as friendly) when he hit mating season-- but it wouldn't last too long and then it would be a whole year before he acted like that again. And he actually wasn't quite as aggressive after a the first couple seasons. From what Harry's Dad says-- he has a whole other situation with his little monster!

: I have had my Male Iguana for 3 years this December. 2 weeks ago his demeanor changed
: 360 degrees. He has never tried to bite and hasn't tail whipped since he was very small.
: Last week he was cruising around and he had my kitchen cloth (Green & Brown) in his mouth
: and had a death grip on it. I pulled it away, nonetheless. The next day he was out cruising
: and while I was washing his bath out he climbed up to see what I was doing and latched
: onto my wrist. He wasn't threatened becausse he came into the bathroom where I already was.
: He didn't seem to bite in fear or agression either. It was the same death grip and I had to
: literally pry him off, which upset me becasue I was bleeding quite a bit.

: I have heard they get honory (spelling?) around this age and want to know if his little hormones have
: kicked in AND is this normal? Will he stop? Lately I put my hands in to feed and pet him and sometimes
: he wants to go for my hands and has bitten my pant legs. He is in a huge cage so he isn't confined.

: HELP!!!!!
