: I have made it through day one, but I didn't get him to eat. I gave him bell peppers, radishes, carrots and bananas. I also went to the store and bought some fresh greens and gave those to him, but he already had gone to bed.

This may sound like a simple question, but how are you feeding it to him? Are you shedding it? Or feeding whole? (Not trying to insult your intelligence, just asking)

When we brought Gilbert home, he didn't eat much. He would eat just about anything that Mom gave him, as long as she fed it to him. (mamma's boy!) The first couple of feedings looked like the buffet table at Ponderosa. I chopped and shredded a little of everything for him, to get him to eat. I also was told (and it worked) to mix some applesauce babyfood, with some of the dry Ig chow. He ate little bits of everything.

It may also be nerves. He may still be scared, or maybe even just not used to eating good food. When we got Gilbert, all he was fed was brocoli and lettuce. They mixed it all with the supplements, so he had no MBD (thankfully). He took awhile to get used to the idea of fresh food in plentiful amounts.

He also refused to eat, if anyone was watching him. You may want to leave him by hhimself with a bowl of food, and let him go, he'll get used to it. Heck.. not only will Gilbert let you watch him eat, he's starting to mooch!

Are Reece's Peanut Butter Cups bad for Igs?!? j/k

And someone OBVIOUSLY has leaked the info about breeding season to him. He's been a little crabby lately! Who did it?!? I bet is was that IZ character! (troublemaker!) ;-)

Best of luck to you...
keep us posted!

Ps.

Have ya come up with a name for him yet? I vote for "Lucky" ;-)
